Minimum 5 years experience in sybase.
Installation, upgrade and maintenance of database software.
Excellent working knowledge of Unix and NT.
Design and implementation of large databases.
Extensive experience with databases requiring high availability.
Extensive knowledge and experience of backup and recovery     strategies.
Expert knowledge of performance monitoring and tuning.
Extensive knowledge of SQL.
Strong coding skills in the development and coding of stored     procedures and triggers.
Extensive knowledge of security strategies.
Experience with multiple environments: production, standby, user     acceptance and development.
Ability to assist developers with performance and implementation,     Experience working in a team environment and sharing experience.
